Locality (T1)

The specified value of every property Tabula sets is a total function of the element's own class string, the registry, and the resolved tokens. Ancestors and DOM position are never inputs.

Merge soundness (T2)

What the browser renders is exactly what resolve() predicts. cn() models the platform as an order-independent fold over CSS property slots — it never guesses which class wins.

Closure (T3)

The classes that produce CSS are exactly those registered in registry.json. An unregistered class emits no CSS, silently, and is caught before it ships by three gates — ESLint, the generated types.d.ts, and tabula scan.

Token pipeline

Author flat, DTCG-shaped tokens; tabula build derives the entire closed vocabulary and writes the .tabula/ artifacts your app imports — atomic, fails closed, every artifact fingerprinted.
